Today's topic is to recommend cost-effective accommodations for solo travelers or two travelers visiting Myeongdong based on my personal research.
The Myeongdong area in Jung-gu, Seoul, has the highest land prices in all of Seoul. Accordingly, hotel accommodation prices are relatively higher compared to other areas.
However, the reason why the majority of foreigners visiting Korea choose Myeongdong is because it combines various elements such as shopping, convenient transportation, food options, and the opportunity to experience a blend of traditional and modern culture nearby.
Today, I would like to introduce five accommodations to you, summarizing the strengths, weaknesses, and actual user reviews for each.
Additionally, please note that the peak season for accommodations in and around Myeongdong is from March to May, July to August, and late December to early January.
The off-season is from mid-January to February, June, and late November to early December.
If you plan your schedule accordingly, you will be able to book accommodations at a much more cost-effective rate.
Since I also need to provide price information, I have intentionally selected July 11-12, 2025 (Friday and Saturday) — a combination of peak season and weekend — as the basis for my search.
If you schedule your trip during the off-season, please consider that the prices will generally be lower than what I present here.
You can easily compare various options and check prices on Trip.com. Search the accommodations listed below here!

More expensive hotels will naturally offer better facilities and services.
